Joy, Peace Bliss, Love. What have these got to do with design? The answer is, everything!
“Design is Omnipresent”
It is in every nook and corner of this world. Good design lies in the attitude that values life and helps make it better as it contributes to improving our overall well-being and livelihood. It is molded by the needs and experiences of people. Design should evoke feelings within us. It must have a conversation with its user. To design is to tell a story and there are so many stories to tell! Thus I consider myself a story teller first, designer next.
“Design is a process”
It entails research, problem solving, using strategies to overcome the problem. It has to have a purpose and a value. It has to enhance the experience of a user and therefore, has to be more accessible and equitable. I consider myself as a visual thinker and interpret, assemble and construct ideas by assigning words to feelings. This reflects in my designs throughout the ideation process. Examining user interactions closely along with studying published research helps affirm established sentiments and ideas while forging new methodologies and experiments of design.
“Design is intentional”
It is a creative process in which we use our intuition and analytical ability to understand opportunities and constraints, then envision, communicate, and realize practical solutions that meet clients needs. It is humane. Design values such as justice, equality, participation, sharing and sustainability are some of the branches that I intend to pursue in every project. I strive to provide service with extensive focus on user experience and culturally relevant solutions.
